With the imminent arrival of the American President to a small mountain town, secret service agents are deployed to sweep the area and demand full cooperation from the locals. Unknown to them, the town's police deputy, Reed (Liotta), is a disillusioned former war hero who doesn't take well to confrontation. When a family in town goes missing in the house where agents have set up base, Deputy Reed's suspicions lead him to uncover an assassination plot on behalf of the President's life.
