Not what I expected. Too much emphasis in some areas (consumers are not idiots) and too little emphasis in others. Lacking complexity which is strange given that it was a complex idea. A bit sloppy and scattered. Concept had much potential. Very disjointed until the end. Direction a bit off.

Anyone who has lost someone close, especially a child, will relate to the depth of sorrow that accompanies grief. I thought this movie handled the topic with great, sensitivity, creativeness and hope - there really is more to life and the collateral beauty is all around us, all the time.

As a parent it was easy to empathise with the plot. It has a unique storyline which was tense and almost distressing as a parent. That being said... boy was it a tear jearker, for me and my brawny husband.
