この映画について

When a successful New York ad executive suffers a personal tragedy and retreats from life, his friends devise a drastic plan to reach him before he loses everything. Pushing him to the very edge, they force him to confront the truth in surprising and profoundly human ways. From Oscar-winning director David Frankel, this thought-provoking drama explores how even the deepest tragedy can reveal moments of beauty, and how the constants of love, time and loss interlock in a life fully lived.

This may be the most beautiful, incredible and inspiring film I have ever watched. Yes you do need a box of tissues by your side, but you are also constantly full with happiness and hope, because rather than being a depressing movie it is the most inspiring, hopeful, imaginative, relate able, clever, inspiring, wonderful film that I have ever had the pleasure of watching. So if you're into incredible acting, originality and emotion then you should really watch this film as soon as you possibly can. Hats off to all the mesmerising and incredible actors that have just graced my laptop screen and to everyone else who was involved in this film because I am sure that every one of them will treasure and take pride in this film for the rest of their lives. Thank you collateral beauty.

A truly excellent film, and endless layers that come through as you realise more of what is really happening. The acting is good, and although I'm not generally a Will Smith fan, he plays the part well. By the end of the film though, the dots become joined, and the thought processes begin. Moving and well thought out. The films is superficially about a grieving man, his withdrawal, and the attempts by his 'friends' to reach him. As the films develops, 'Actors' for Death, Love, Time are sought to represent personifications of those entities. *Spoilers:* Each actor plays their part, forcing him to re-evaluate his state, and eventually he seeks help - but from whom? Who is the also-grieving woman that he connects to? And who are the 'actors'? Not real people, that is certain. And who are the 'actors' there for...not just for Will, but each is really present for the people who hired them - the loveless, unfaithful man losing everything that matters; the dying man hiding his death from his family; the childless woman who feels her life was wasted; the people who's lives were devoted to the company. A multi-layered film, which is touching and deserves to be recognised.

Smith's great but it's too twee. Helen Mirren character annoying and doesn't go dark enough
