The film follows college freshman Cooper (Sam Tsui) as he attempts to win the heart of his teaching assistant, Bianca (Allison Williams). Cooper is so enamored with Bianca that he cannot pay attention in English class during a midterm, he mentally erupts into song, the ballad I Want to Bone My TA and is failing, set to lose his college scholarship if his performance does not improve. Enter Nate (Miles Jacoby) and Lubo (Brennan Caldwell), Coopers two roommates, who decide he must seduce his TA once and for all to boost his grade and overcome his insecurities about women. But Cooper ends up falling for his classmate Jackie (Julie Shain) instead, a girl he originally sees as a stepping stone in his path to romance with Bianca. In an additional twist, Jackie and Bianca are competing against each other in a prestigious essay contest, and Bianca turns into the movies villain when her plans for winning the contest go awry. I won't spoil the rest, but I have to mention that a student with man-child syndrome a fictional disease in which a grown man reverts to the mind and behavior of a child provides both humor and a crucial part of the plot. Being a musical, the film tells the story through a mix of spoken dialogue and spirited, vibrant song.

If you feel like summer is over but you're looking for something to remind you that there is, perhaps, time to think about hope in life, then this movie is the answer to you. This movie is directed by Youtuber Kurt Schneider, and I can tell you that this movie deserves a Youtube Award or Radio Disney Award or Teen Choice Award or any other awards! The character, the story line, the music, the setting, the camera angles...everything is perfect! After directing and filming many amazing music videos, Kurt finally decides to give his fans something even bigger than just short minutes of entertainment, and it's this wonderful film! Go check it out!

Some awkwardly acted scenes throughout the movie, main characters didn't always seem to be in sync. Songs were mainly built to show off Sam's voice (which is great, but...). It reveals all too obviously how Sam was probably the only one actually singing. Some lip syncing issues made it obvious that the voices were dubbed over (particularly in "Sabotage"). BUT! I do love Kurts work and Sam's voice, and that last song has been stuck in my head for a week. So it's great but I know Kurt can do better!

I saw the world premiere of College Musical last night with 10,000 other fans of Sam and Kurt and I easy got hooked. I am not the type that enjoys musicals and the whole High School Musical fab a few years back but this was a fresh of breathe air. Julia and Alison also did an amazing job in the movie as well and Ive become a huge fan of theirs as well. All day today I was thinking about College Musical and recommending it to my friends and colleagues. Its not Disney but something way better. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU SEE IT!!!!
