Down-and-out inventor Michel (Olivier Gourmet) is caring for his dying father when he gets some shocking news: He was adopted. What's more, he wasn't born in Belgium, as he thought, but in a barn in Quebec. A work trip to Canada offers an occasion for Michel to search for his biological parents. Although nothing goes according to plan, Michel does start up a curious friendship with Louis (Paul Ahmarani), a wacky electric-car enthusiast with whom he shares some surprising connections.
