Conquering China follows Swedish pop singer, Johan Jonason, who struggles to break into the Chinese music industry as he experiences first-hand the tremendous change in global power balance and the culture clash between East and West. The film is both a humorous yet eye-opening exposé of the pop-music industry, and the new, young, and contradictory China at a crossroads.
