Über diesen Film

Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo Hellblazer graphic novels and written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, Constantine tells the story of John Constantine (KEANU REEVES), a man who has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (RACHEL WEISZ) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost. MPAA Rating: R (c) 2005 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. I really loved this movie and always will. It's very dark and probably not the best for those with strong religious ideals. But for me, it never fails to capture my attention no matter how many times I watch it.

Been a reader of Hellblazer since 1990 - Keanu was terrible casting, he's nothing like John Constantine. Which is probably just as well, since the storyline of this movie only barely has anything to do with Hellblazer. Aside from character names and a couple plot elements from Dangerous Habits, this is more an adaptation of the Nancy Collins book "In The Blood" than anything Constantine. Stormare and Weisz and Swinton did very well with what they were given, and the SFX were cool, but the story was meh.

Even with some cheesy lines, I do love this movie. It left it open for possible second movie. I wish they would make another. Most likely not.
