Lomborg is not the anti-Christ, not even the anti-Gore. He believes human-caused climate change is a real problem that will have bad results if we fail to address it. He credits Gore with putting the issue on the map. But unlike Gore, Lomborg wants us to be guided by intelligent cost-benefit assessment toward the best use of our money and efforts. And unlike Gore, he doesn't think terrifying people with overblown images of catastrophic worst-case results of climate change is a productive (or morally justifiable) approach to taking action. "Cool It" might not have been the best choice for a title. Don't let that stop you. This film outlines a sensible program that offers hope in the face of climate change hysteria and unproductive government posturing.

The documentary starts off seeming like its whole purpose was to vindicate Lomborg, which was interesting, but not what I was looking to be informed about. But that was more introduction than anything. Once the film gets going, it is packed with exciting, diverse, and very well-presented information: various forms of energy (including wave energy, which I didn't know about), geo engineering, etc. My favorite part was the ending: a proposal for a multi-pronged solution. You'll have to watch to find out.

Such an important environmentally documentary that everyone should see.
