This movie is a chaotic, borderline-nonsensical mess. It also had a famously troubled development, with the original pitch framing it as a horror movie. The studio executives wanted something like "Roger Rabbit." I don't think anybody got what they wanted, me included. Parts of it look straight up unfinished, too. What a disaster.

I love this movie! I mean come on, it's Ralph Bakshi fer cryin out loud. While not technically well made in respect to the cross between animation and live action, like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, it's bizarre, acid trip induced (I'm assuming) characters and the constant visual stimuli that occurs in the background of the main action, that Bakshi is known for, well makes up for this in my opinion. Of course the soundtrack seriously kicks butt as well. It really adds to the atmosphere, and of course makes me want to watch the movie multiple times (as well as buy the soundtrack). How this was not nominated for an Oscar is beyond me. *throws arms in the air*

For fans of a young Brad Pitt and a Western take on a Anime. Saw the film back in 1992. A bit racer than ," Who framed Rodger Rabbit." Has the same live person interactions with animated . Not your typical kid fare. Pg 13 as I recall.
