By most standards, this is probably a 4 star movie, but by zombie movie standards, it's a definite five. There's something especially satisfying about a straight-up genre movie that breaks no real ground, but succeeds within the conventions of the genre with good unpretentious writing and good ensemble acting-- provided you're a fan of the genre. If you like zombie movies, you should see this. If not, you should stay away. I'm having a hard time remembering a low-budget horror movie with a cast this good. Especially good is Rainn Wilson as an alpha male gym teacher. His character seems to have been waiting his whole life for the zombie apocolypse, so he could channel his inner action hero and deliver Shwarzzenegger-style catch phrases just before setting the pint-sized zombies on fire. Alison Pill, who I remember from THE NEWSROOM, is another highlight. Her reaction shots are priceless.

Yeah you always keep your eyes in the movie because they are so scary horror comedy with unexpected laughs and unapologetic thrills. When a cafeteria food virus turns elementary school children into little killer savages, a group of misfit teachers must band together to escape the playground carnage. The film stars Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, and Alison Pill as teachers who fight to survive the most unruly students ever on the worst Monday of their lives!

Good cast, funny script, decent gore, really entertaining. I know killing children is taboo and seriously frowned on, but it just works. Its definitely one of the best zombie horror/ comedies if not the best I've ever seen.
