Brilliant. The Sam Peckinpah reference is priceless / an inside joke / a wink insight. Anti-Hero COP has his cake _and_ eats it too. Where Callahan ends Woods plows through. It's a never-seen cinematic exercise in *contrarian plotting!*

Tough as Nails Character Actor, that uses his skills, instead of any Cartoonish Steroid Enhanced muscles. A real Man's Man!

Great film, during a must see period for James Woods fans.
