Whoopi Goldberg and Ray Liotta star in this heartwarming story about a family devastated by grief and the woman who helps heal the loss. Manny Singer (Liotta) hires African American Corrina Washington (Goldberg) to work as maid and nanny after the death of his wife. As the talented and intelligent Corrina helps Singer's daughter cope with the loss of her mother--and Singer discovers Corrina's intelligence--a relationship develops between them, growing from respect, to affection ... to love.
