A series of incidents in a small French village are blamed on Josef Bousou, the son of a family of scrap merchants and a somewhat annoying character. The mayor tries to keep the peace and keep Josef on the right track, but it seems other citizens will use the prejudice against Josef in the village to their own advantage and even murder.
