Based on the book, “Cry Macho” stars Clint Eastwood as a one‐time rodeo star and washed up horse breeder who, in 1978, takes a job from an ex‐boss to bring the man’s young son home and away from his alcoholic mom. Crossing rural Mexico on their back way to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world‐weary horseman may find his own sense of redemption through teaching the boy what it means to be a good man.

Don't expect Gran Torino or the earlier works of Clint Eastwood such as Dirty Harry or Unforgiven. This is a slow moving story and takes its time getting there. Absolutely beautiful cinematography and score (as usual with Eastwood). The only things that I had issue with was Clint could of used a few more takes in some scenes as some dialogue feels "phoned - in" or could've improved the performances of Clint and other actors with some more takes. Also the editing could of also been tighter.

I love a good Clint Eastwood film and this one did not disappoint. We went into it knowing that he doesn’t move or talk like he used too but he still delivered an entertaining film. It’s a slow film where not much happens but the friendships and scenery are lovely. The rooster was the star of the film.

Clint a bit old for the romantic matching but cant fault the humour, lines and smile factor of a clint eastwood movie. not his best, but better than most other movies you see by others
