The small town of Glimmer Peak is rocked to its core when it experiences a series of unexplainable child abductions. With no witnesses, no evidence, and no discernible connection between the missing children, the local Sheriff has reached a dead end. Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s curious niece, Sofia, begins her own investigation into this strange series of events, recalling a childhood story her mother used to tell her about a Latin American boogeyman known as the Cucuy. According to the legend, the Cucuy would come at night to snatch misbehaving children and take them back to his cave to be eaten. As children continue to disappear without a trace, Sofia realizes that she must take matters into her own hands and confront this legendary evil herself – before it’s too late.

Notes et avis

This is actually okay. High product values, pretty decent acting, nice story. It's not going down in the annals of Movie history as the most original movie ever made but it's by no means bad. I actually really enjoyed it. Think Ringu, meets Babadook, meets Disturbia with some Steven Spielberg effects right at the end. Definitely worth £3.50 -- you can spend you money on much worse. Go for it.

Not that bad a movie. Very predictable in places. Watch if nothing else appeals.
