About this movie

Welcome to Gotham City's heart of darkness. Arkham Asylum is a festering depository of the vile, the dangerous and the delirious, with an ever-growing population courtesy of the Dark Knight. But when Batman foils the Riddler's latest caper and a crucial piece of evidence, a thumb drive, ends up hidden in Arkham, potential salvation comes from an unexpected source: a covert government strike team assembled from Gotham City's underworld. The assassin Deadshot leads the team, code-named the Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Black Spider, a roster of rogues who know Arkham Asylum and its residents all too well. Batman is pursuing the thumb drive as well. After defeating a Suicide Squad member, Batman switches costumes with him and covertly infiltrates the Squad.

In the interest of trying to make this review as spoiler free as possible let's just say that this is a big nasty flop from the DC animated group. Every twist and turn was completely predictable so to the fact that I felt like I had seen this movie before the first time I watched it! Now I hate to admit that I am a huge Batman fan boy and as long as there's fan boy's like me that buy anything remotely related to Batman the DC animated group will keep on making these pieces of @#$/ moives. From now on I want quality over quantity. Let's make that statement heard DC fans!

GREAT MOVIE, despite less focus on batman, other characters carry plot and have such varied and enjoyable personalities that this movie works great even with low batman content. Be warned, it has some strong suggested female nudity and some obvious actual sexual content NOT FOR KIDS despite PG13 rating (I'd not watch even with older kids- but only due to about 30 secs worth of material). Surprisingly I liked it better than Under Red Hood which was my prior FAV- that I could watch with my kids, unfortunately this will wait till they are solidly late teens. Still, kudos to this film's team - DC, please give more projects to those involved- terrific dialogue, funny, exciting, excellent almost non-stop action (or laughs)- I agree no one does Joker like Mark Hamill, he was missed but otherwise the whole project was executed beautifully- far above the mark for an animated feature, I rented it but will probably buy it as I think I will want to watch it again (esp with like minded friends/family). Cheers.

This one is truly unique & captivating. Set in the World of the Arkham Games, it maintains the high standard & adds to the narrative. Kevin Conroy & Troy Baker are back to voice act. This one leans closer to an R rating as Harley has a few risqué scenes. For the most part, the characters are interesting & hold your attention. At the end you're emotionally invested in Deadshot, a character I know little about. But the movie made me care. Job well done.
