About this movie

Ricky Redmond is a teen acting legend--at least in his own mind (and his mother's, of course). He's confident that he's a shoe-in for the leading role his senior year. That is, until Josh Kelly, the school's star baseball player, surprises everyone and auditions. The claws come out as a vicious battle for the spotlight ensues.

It was fun and funny, with some touching moments and some plot turns that surprised me. Very well cast! If you are or were a theater geek at any point in your life, you’ll particularly love this!

This movie now needs to be an essential movie for anyone who claims to love stage, on every level. The writing and story are fantastic. The directions it takes are stunningly entertaining. It's heartfelt, it's poignant, and it made me laugh so much more than I anticipated. Seriously, it's worth the buy. I almost never say that, but this is a movie you'll want to watch and rewatch.
