Everyone in town is in awe of young Daryl's extraordinary talents and abilities, and so are his foster parents. He can perform advanced mathematics, master complex video games at first try, and hit home runs in his very first baseball game. Add to that his genuinely charismatic appeal and you have a special child. Very special... A child in jeopardy, too, because the military has a Top Secret interest in Daryl that threatens his very existence. The most sophisticated computers and scientists are pitted against Daryl's incredible gifts in an adventure that will determine whether human spirit can triumph over cold science.

Robot boy who doesn't know he's a robot or the family he is adopted into after being stolen from the Skunk works like tech-army base that his creator stole him from and was killed in the process. He starts priceless interactions with his new family but then the army tries to take him back and he STEALS A BLACKBIRD SR-71 Plane to fly back to his family and "mildly" kills himself in the process but he's a robot so duhhh. But he also crashes into water so... not good for a robot and then there's a huge twist.

This was my movie growing up. Being a kid at the time and seeing a kid Daryl (Barret Oliver) in a movie driving a car in a police chase and flying the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird jet was amazing lol 80's movies. Another movie with Barret Oliver to check out is the Neverending Story.

Diesen Film habe ich vor Jahren mir gekauft, Er gefällt mir sehr gut! Warum ist von dem Film "D.A.R.Y.L." Kein zweiter Teil gemacht worden?? Das Thema enthält doch genügend Stoff. Oder ist dass Thema zu heikel?? Last den Autoren: David Ambrose, Jeffrey Ellis, Allan Scott doch eine Fortsetzung zu diesem Film schreiben! Ach ja, Habe die Version in der Deutschen/Germanys Sprache!
