A young hoodlum recruits students into his gang and on one particular warehouse raid he kills a man. At his trial, a young girl speaks up for him as her protector in the days when she lived in an orphanage. She is the adopted daughter of the district attorney and, when the hoodlum is sentenced to life imprisonment, the defense attorney lays the blame at the feet of the parents of delinquents. What the district attorney doesn't know is that the hoodlum is his son.
