Finished the Netflix Daredevil, & especially the last couple if episodes were great. So I thought it was time to revisit the Ben Affleck movie. My old DVD was scratched so I ended up getting the director's cut version offers Google Play. Let me say it is not as bad as people remember. & the director's cut has additional scenes & dialog that really make it a different & much better movie. If this is what had been released in the theaters, I don't think anyone would have had issues with it (well maybe the park fight). I guess the studios still didn't give much seriousness to what these movies could be & some suit somewhere probably thought no one would sit for 2 hours for a "comic book" movie. This version has 30 extra minutes that add a sub plot & character development that really make it a pretty good flick. Just think, only 2 years after this came out, Batman Begins was released, 3 years later came Iron Man. I guess this was just a product of being a little too early. Strongly recommend this version.

I loved this movie. Sure, the original wasn't what as great as it could've been, but I feel that way about a lot of movies. The original Spider-Man movie included. My main complaints were actually with Colin Farrell's Bullseye more than anything. Give the Director's Cut an honest try and you just might like it!

A pretty decent film. I hate to say it but I think Ben Affleck was a more convincing Daredevil than a Batman. He's still a good actor though. Also, don't knock the movie for its adequate cinematography, overworked CG animations and somewhat seldom cliché dialogue. It's still a good action movie to watch - and keep in mind, this was made in 2003, so....
