Dark Encounter' is a tense supernatural thriller that will get under your skin and linger long after viewing... A year after the mysterious disappearance of their 8 year-old daughter, grieving Olivia (Laura Fraser: 'Breaking Bad') and Ray (Mel Raido: 'Legend') return home with friends and family from her memorial service in their small town. Suddenly strange lights appear in the nearby forest and everyone is exposed to inexplicable phenomena shaking them all to the core. The origin of these weird incidents seems to be visitors from another world intent on terrorising the family. But what they don't realise is that these visitors will eventually lead them to an unexpectedly dark and disturbing truth - one destined to impact on their lives forever. This out-of-this-world and jaw-dropping alien invasion thrillers also stars Alice Lowe ('Sightseers', 'Prevenge'), Grant Masters ('Await Further Instructions') and Nicholas Pinnock ('Fortitude').

Not sure what the last reviewer was watching as clearly did not watch all of the film due to their comments. This was a great film with one hell of a sad twist.. had me in tears!! Personally I thought it was a great film, well written and actors were great. Thought provoking.

I almost reviewed this halfway through with one star. Glad I watched it to the end. Unusual, cinematographically stunning, quite lovely.

People in woods, lights in trees, women with guns, lights in windows etc.. same old same, big yawn.
