A year after the mysterious disappearance of an 8-year-old girl, we meet her grieving family as they return home from her memorial service in their small town. Later that evening, strange lights appear in the nearby forest and the family is exposed to a strange, inexplicable phenomenon that rattles them to the core. The origin of the lights appear to be visitors from another world that seemingly terrorize the family. What they don't realize is that these 'beings' will lead the family to the truth behind the little girl's disturbing disappearance.

Graderings en resensies

The story-line and visual editing made it worth watching. Can't argue with the chosen cast; they were up to the task and delivered pretty well, given the material and the fact that none of them are your typical a-listers, although; many of them are recognizable from roles in other movies. I like that they left the main question of the plot unanswered after the whodunit was resolved. It invites the audience to speculate on the motivations of the visitors. Best line of the movie? "Well, you were running at them carrying an axe,...".

This had a huge plot twist in store for me. I expected one genre of horror and ended up with another. The actors did such a great job shoving raw emotions of fear, loss, and betrayal into me that my desensitized brain usually blocks.

If you are expecting a terrifying extraterrestrial movie look elsewhere.
