Something stirs in the dark surrounding the quiet town of Maiden Woods. Sheriff Paul Shields (Kevin Durand) and his deputy (Lukas Haas), must face down a new breed of raw terror that is possibly older than humanity itself, and much hungrier.

Lame, been done so many times but different creature, and same plot as your typical monster flic. I give it 21/2 ouuta 5.

Pleasantly surprised, Kevin Durand really shines here, my opinion he's always been a great compliment to a well rounded cast, here in this film it shows he's ready with the right director to take on bigger budget leading roles.

I just love these small town monster flicks, I didn't like the blue filter on some scenes but very entertaining for a low budget monster movie.
