This intense, high-speed cyber-thriller is based on a series of mysterious, unsolved real-life events. It starts as genius hacker Connor discovers Cicada 3301, an online treasure hunt that could be a recruiting tool for a secret society. Soon Connor, art- expert friend Avi, and secretive librarian Gwen are dashing from graffiti sites to ancient libraries to uncover real-world clues. But they must outrun aggresive NSA agents, also hot on the trail of Cicada, who want the glory for themselves.

Thumbs down for the lead actor. His narrating was boring, he was not believable at all. The whole movie it felt like he was trying to act like a cool sarcastic hacker, but it just didn't feel natural. Take a little more time to fill these lead rolls people.

There are plot holes, sure. It was a great goof-off movie otherwise though! It has Ron Funches, one of my favorite actors, and it's a "get stoned and watch an action-comedy" type movie. The plot holes left revolve around loose ends they didn't tie up that seemingly have no chance of being resolved. They aren't story breaking, in fact they revolve around side characters (this is as close as I can get without spoilers). I almost want to say they are intentional distractions, but that'd be explaining it for a movie that did not. Again though, not story breaking in the least, and I still really enjoyed the movie!

Man honestly I put this on one day lost interest but gave it another shot while I was on the road and I'm glad it had a few loop holes but that's expected with a movie like this. Dude had me in tears every time he went off track with his story about the agents lmao
