Aditya Soman is married to Ashwini and has a child. Aditya falls in love with his office colleague, Gita, and the two have a rollicking affair. He even promises to marry her, but back-tracks the day Gita informs him that she is pregnant with his child. Gita revolts when Aditya asks her to abort the unborn child. In the argument that follows, Aditya pushes Gita who loses her balance, falls down and dies instantantly. Scared, Aditya buries her but Gita begins to haunt him. While he can see her, hear her, and feel her, nobody else is even aware of her 'presence'. Soon, Ashwini learns of Aditya's extra marital affair even as the murder investigations by the CBI begin. Although Ashwini saves her husband from the CBI, she walks out on him. She meets with an accident that lands her in the hospital. Even as she is battling for life, Gita confronts Aditya.
