Sam Stewart(Mason) battles with depression and alcohol addiction. He is trying to hold down his job as a night-time radio presenter. He is also in love with Emily (Marshall) but is afraid to show his feelings in case of where this will lead. Along with some others they are members of a modern day vampire clan. Having evolved to tolerate daylight they remain vulnerable to attack if their cover is blown. Haunted by guilt from the past atrocities and coping with some very human interpersonal issues they are keen to integrate into society. However a mysterious new manager takes over at the radio station followed closely by government agents who hunt down vampires. This dark comedy handles real world themes in a supernatural way and the outcome of where this leads will keep you guessing until the end.

Vampire film lovers are likely to be surprised by this movie as it does not follow the vampire script. It is a drama about vampires who have adapted and live as humans, at least most of the time. They are keen to atone for their pasts and deal with challenges of the real world. Mixed in with that is a whacky and dry humor that lightens things up. A very original and entertaining movie.

Set primarily at a radio station and having the vampires deal with "everyday people issues" as they try and mix back in with the real world, this delightful British indie takes a clever approach to the cliched vampire genre. Mix that in with a tad of dark humor and some Agents hunting down the Vamps, and you have what adds up to be a fun Friday-night flick!

The horrors and guilt from their bloody atrocities haunt a vampire clan, driving them to hide and live in human disguise to atone for their past and seek a better future, but the government blocks their reform, counters with more savagery than any enraged monster.
