About this movie

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who, after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Loved it. It's my kind of film. I love Deadpool and I think this is the ultimate fan boner. I prefer the anti-heroes and more realistic blood, gore, sex and swearing as would happen in an adult's world. I have a dark sense of humour. I'd say it's my favourite superhero film. Hopefully, this provides a platform for superhero films geared towards adult audiences. The best part was the cancer discovery and experimentation/torture part. Wade Wilson really shone through there and the aesthetics made it believable. Loved Ryan Reynolds and especially Ed Skrein's acting. To those who complain about the dialogue and fourth wall breaking, it's Deadpool. That's what he's all about. Obviously, the non-fans won't appreciate this to the same extent, if at all. Only thing I can complain about is that the trailers ruined a lot of the action and story. It revealed far too much and so it felt a bit like I was watching a sequence that I already knew just with bridges filled in in between. While the advertising campaign was amazing, the trailers were too packed and perhaps too long. Should have gave wee snippets instead. The main Angel Dust stand-off scene alone would have done.

Crass foul mouthed anti hero wouldn't know the story as I turned it off after 5 minutes even that was too long. Expected better from Reynolds, my mistake perhaps i should have read the reviews well i did but they were sycophantic. I cant stand swearing in real life even less so in "entertainment" absolute waste of money. Whats worse i don't seem to be able to delete it from Google play, a problem I noticed others have.

I thought they did really well with this movie, compared to the look and feel of the main character in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', the Deadpool in this film was bang on, honouring the source material with the comic books, there was even references as well, not only Ryan Reynolds' character mentioned a particular DC comic character, but there was also a small reference to a particular Cartoon Network show at the start of the film (you might want to watch the film to see the references). The film definitely handles the mix of action, drama and comedy well, so definitely worth checking out.
