Superheroism for the adult crowd, unsanitized & uncaring for our viewing protection. Ryan Reynolds, for the first time in my memory, excels in this role & carries the movie with gusto. Only in this type of role could his crass, self-important personality shine, and it does indeed. Self deprecating & self referencing to its core & without a hint of shame, this movie is a living comic book. For those reviewers pooh-poohing the 4th wall breaching, self referencing, etc you need to understand the source material. Deadpool frequently does this all the time in the comics. So for the movie to also do this, very humorously & effectively I might add, only reinforces the fact that it's a 'Deadpool movie' and not another regurgitated X-men / Avengers / Spiderman / Superman / Batman movie.

I am happy I got around to viewing this movie. I lived in view of the viaduct used to make some of the scenes and enjoy the comics or graphic novels or whatever description you might use. Ryan Reynolds is perfectly portraying the character in my opinion and just made me laugh and ejaculate because of my love of unicorns. (Kidding) watch this movie or I'll shoot your cat! 🐱

Gotta love the idiots who don't understand that Deadpool is supposed to be unlikable and stupid. They just blame it on writing or acting but this is how the character is. This is not for kids by any means, but neither are some of the comics. There is one where he kills the entire Marvel universe. With all the budget cuts and production problems this had, I'm surprised it worked as well as it did. It is for fans of the character and is an apology for X Men Origins.
