Personally I liked the book better I fell in love with it and the movie just didn't have the greatness of the book, I feel a little disappointed but books usaly are better, but still was a good movie.

this movie is like a slow death... great story, actors but somehow missed the mark.... maybe too much editing!!

As for myself being a former service member (1990-2000) MAIL, CHOW, and TELEPHONE ACCESS were the most important things with being deployed. We could draw closer to our loved ones back home. This movie brings back memories.
