Obsessed with connecting with her in the afterlife, he offers $10,000 to anyone who can reveal her dying words to him - something only he knows. Enter the beautiful but deceptive Mary (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and what begins as a con evolves into a far more dangerous affair as Houdini is overwhelmed by Mary's mysterious charm.
