I first saw this movie at a Women in Film event. I thought it was very Waiting-for-Guffman-esque with its deadpan look at the ladies who sell through product parties and pyramid marketing schemes. All the emotions around social status, professional rivalry, jealousy, and self-worth ultimately exposed as the banality of pointless suburban life and death.

Watching this was a most enjoyable experience. As I progressed through the work, I was struck by it's subtlety. It is low key with humor found in the most mundane household goods and experiences, yet with an undercurrent of Film Noire meets lighthearted corny modern including a femme fatale with an interesting twist on the victim. If all Indies were this good, there would be no need for the big commercial studios.

I love dark comedies, murder mysteries, and independent films (which sums up this movie to a t). When a rubbermaid-like saleswoman is murdered and all of her product is stolen, everyone in her small town is a suspect. To say anything more would spoil the plot. The flick is an enjoyable indie with a story and characters that will keep your attention until the end.
