Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of his city’s violence as it’s rushed into his ER – until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. Why the negative reviews from critics? Imo, I think this is one of the better remakes out there. Yes, revenge thrillers are released on a regular basis upon us, but Eli Roth has done a great job bringing a classic back for a new generation.

I went in not expecting much but came out of the other side quite liking it one of Bruce willis's best films in a long time doesn't take itself too seriously a film you can just switch off and enjoy

Well played role by Bruce Willis. One of the better remakes of modern days. Definitely worth a watch, ignore the critics who got this one very wrong :-)
