Constantine joins the Roman Army hoping to find Katherine, a friend missing since childhood. During his search, his triumphs in battle propel him to the pinnacle of power as Emperor of the Western Roman Empire. When Constantine discovers that Katherine is his rival's prisoner, he will stop at nothing—even an all-out war— to rescue her. Acting legend Peter O' Toole delivers his final film appearance in this powerful action-adventure.

Decline of an Empire is Peter O'Toole's final film. The story centres on St. Katherine of Alexandria, and Emperor Constantine the Great. It starts off with Katherine and Constantine as children, and when Katherine is taken away by the Roman Emperor to his palace, Constantine soon joins the army in the hope of finding her. While she is a prisoner of the Roman Emperor, Katherine debates his philosophers, and converts them to Christianity, resulting in the death of Gallus, who is played by Peter O'Toole. For this, Katherine is martyred on a wheel. When her body is brought to Emperor Constantine, he has a monastery built above her tomb.

Honestly outside of knowing it's the 4th century a.d. and Rome and some barbarian tribes co-mingle, I truly couldn't tell u squat about this insidious JO KY ENGLISH with a price tag!!! First, this is the ONLY time I have EVER written a review. I watch A LOT of movies like 40-50 a month! This is in my top 3 for worst of ALL-TIME! to keep it brief I will use VERY accurate, descriptive words. Incredibly convoluted, Plotless, BORRRRRINGGG!!!, pointless, and on and on and on! A baby using a cell phone, ugh nuf
