Based on an extraordinary true story, Defiance is an epic tale of family, honour, vengeance and salvation in World War II. The Bielskis were also criminals, deserters of the polish army and therefore traitors of pro soviet inclination. Movie goofs: their bad russian accents (they spoke polish anyway) and shooting at tanks (they never encountered in real life). Another movie where german soldiers are underperforming against a poorly trained and equipped crowd. Far off real life events. Smells like b**** u know xhat i mean.

This its one of those movies which cuts deep and its not background viewing. Superb acting, directing etc and a very moving story. Highly recommended

Watched it on the TV and I think it is worth it. Actual story portrayed perfectly by Daniel Craig and leaves you with a bitter-sweet feeling. I would definetly buy it if I hadn't watched it already.
