About this movie

Davis (Jake Gyllenhaal) seemingly has the perfect life until a tragic car accident leaves him struggling to cope with the loss of his wife. When Davis takes a literal approach to his father-in-law's (Chris Cooper) metaphorically-intended words of support, he begins demolishing the pieces of his life, one item at a time, searching for what?s truly important.

Although gloomy and depressing, "Demolition" provides a scenario where a widower must find his feelings by destroying them (hence the name Demolition). The protagonist goes through a mental breakdown and begins writing letters to a random women who helps him find his love for his lost wife. The plot goes through a series of weird turns, and by the end you are left confused. Jake Gyllenhaal's perfomance in this movie is nothing glamorous, but this is sure to be a fun journey with the characters.
