I'm a fan of indie films, lower budget often means focus is on the characters. If you want a movie-length episode of Buffy, and a poor episode at that, this is for you. This is a terrible movie. I care about supporting independent productions, and I wanted to like this as it's rare to see an all-Irish movie. This is still a terrible movie. Pros: - Derivative but still interesting premise - Guy playing Beckett does a good impersonation of a downtrodden Scandi-noir detective Cons: - Terrible acting - Mostly terrible dialogue - Terrible exposition - Tedious, pointless montages - Tedious, pointless scenes of bikes and cars being driven quickly - Predictable plot points - Predictable (painfully so) ending - Fight choreography was... terrible I'm not even tempted to give it two stars on the basis of its low budget, its rarity as an all-Irish release, or my being a genre fan. Oh and let's not get started on the Priest "corpse". This film has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. None.

Saw this at a limited release in the Cinema recently and I have to say that I really really enjoyed it. For an indie film made on a small budget you certainly couldn't tell as there are some top class Hollywood level shots, acting and effects in this flick. It's also awesome that Dublin now has it's own Buffy inspired style Demon Hunter doing the rounds! I can't wait to see the sequel!
