Gerard Butler (London has Fallen, Geostorm), Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black, American Gods), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Power, Southpaw) star in gritty action thriller Den Of Thieves. A notorious crew of bank robbers plan to pull off the ultimate heist - to steal $120 million in cash from the Federal Reserve Bank in downtown LA… right under the noses of the state’s most feared police unit.

Will this be rated better than Heat, probably not but don’t let reviews saying it’s not as good as Heat put you off. It may be on Heat on the script paper but you have to put that to one side and concentrate on what’s on in front of you, This film starts of with plenty of action and it ticks over at a nice pace as the story builds and the characters unfold. I thought this was a great film and it certainly kept me interested right to the very end. Gerald Butler was superb in this role, defiantly one of his better films, overall well worth a watch if you are a fan of the Heist style film. For me a strong film, good action, great story and plenty of action to keep the Heat fans happy, particularly the shoot out in the road works.. This film sneaks into my favourite top ten films.

Fax copy of Heat. Good production, technically. Story, main character were generic. The twist at the end seemed to have been grasped from thin air. The only interesting aspects were the crooks and the heists. Rest is forgettable. Rent, don't buy.

To sum Den of Thieves up. Simple.You want action, you got it!! If you've seen HEAT, very similar tactics in story line to that I thought. A very good film.
