In a small Mississippi town, justice and the law are two very different things. Ex-con Russell (Garrett Hedlund) is attempting to rebuild his life with the help of his father, Mitchell (Academy Award winner Mel Gibson). However, the arrival of Maben (Willa Fitgerald) a desperate woman on the run with her young daughter sends his new life into chaos.
