Best friends Akira and Ryo are your average high school students…until they learn that Ryo’s scientist father stationed in Antarctica has accidentally opened a gate to hell, unleashing a horde of demons upon the earth! The demons begin to spread possessing ordinary people and turning them violently against each other. When Akira becomes possessed, he becomes Devilman, an all-powerful demonic entity; but he has somehow retained his humanity.
