Dil Dhadakne Do revolves around an imbalanced Punjabi family on a cruise trip where the film is based on. Ranveer Singh is seen in a character as Kabir, who is a wealthy person by birth. Being a son of a business man, he was raised up to take up the business. But the story reverses, as he is interested in plans and aspires to became a Pilot. Due to this difference he faces a lot many problems until he meets Farah (Anushka Sharma). She is a girl, who escaped from her home to make her dream over dance come true. She comes across Kabir, which turns his miserable life into bed of roses. Priyanka Chopra is seen as Ranvir sister. She plays an ambitious entrepreneur married to Rahul Bose when she goes on the cruise, but Farhan acts as the third angle to Priyanka-Rahul's dysfunctional relationship. (CBFC UA DIL/2/88/2015-MUM)

Until you actually know that if there was a sequel left for it, there would be two more stars, but I didn't like this movie, it just leaves the story without any trace, I would never object the societal problems portrayed in this movie, however, the storyline was weak, no one simply goes to a cruise just for an anniversary even when they are going on loss etc.

Families are great..but if is dysfunctional then it will be upside down..A dad who is a flirt and a mom who knows it..a daughter who doesn't want to get pregnant..and a son who wants to be a pilot...others are..a guy who still loves the girl (mentioned as daughter above)..a girl who kisses the guy (mentioned as son above) in their first meeting..Ranveer is nice as a lad who wants his girl..priyanka is great as a young wife..Anil kapoor is also wonderful..Farhan aktar is also good..cruise scenes and family rivalry to sibling love is cute..songs and climax are kind of OK..beware its an upper class family...quite obviously...

This is not a movie. This movie has bunch of family drama which make it worst. Copying the story from Western world and trying to show them to Eastern world doesn't work. Look like director fail to research on it.
