About this movie

Struggling author Wyatt Harrison (Jared Withrow) and his son Riley (Brayden Eaton) travel to the quiet, ocean side town of Dinosaur Cove to begin a new life, searching for healing from the recent loss of Wyatt's wife and Riley's mother. Through their sorrow the two are brought together as they stumble into a delightfully unexpected adventure as the unlikely caretakers of lost Pteranadon eggs. Wyatt must recapture his wonder and his belief in the incredible as young Riley struggles to show him the path to becoming like a child again. Together with the help of new friend Dr. Theresa Starr (Holly Houk) they must find a way to protect the eggs from the bumbling, mad scientist Dr. Victor Vandersaurian (James Pilachowski) who is also after the eggs. The race to reunite the eggs with their mother - if she can be found - will take father and son into dangers they never imagined awaited them in the little town of Dinosaur Cove.

I saw this the other day. Great family film. Even though it is a kids movie, it's still entertaining for the parents too. The writing was strong enough to carry the film. A few places were slightly stagy, but the movie overall was a meaningful, heartfelt, enjoyable watch.

I saw this movie a few weeks ago. This movie is actually better than the bloated Jurassic movie in theaters right now. That movie has massive visual effects and little heart. Dinosaur Cove has little visual effects and massive heart. This movie has so much more actual storytelling and meaning. This kids were decent actors, but the story and characters shine out and are well delivered.

Good movie, I wish they would have had more dinosaurs in it. The characters were really good though.
