About this movie

Lifelong friends Kate (Mamrie Hart), Evie (Grace Helbig) and Charlie (Hannah Hart) are in a rut. On the eve of Kate's 30th birthday, she agrees to let Evie and Charlie throw her a party. But what's supposed to be a simple celebration becomes a wild who's who of past and present, and things quickly spiral out of control.

The comedic parts are hysterical. I'm glad I didn't watch this in the theater (was it in the theater?) because I couldn't pause for laughing. The story itself (or the non-comedic parts) did seem forced, but I think that was all Hanna's fault. I have not seen her in Dyna girl, but I am less looking forward to it now. The high school kids were great, but the story between them seemed thrown in. I think I was supposed to make a parallel between these kids and Grace's marriage, but it was not obvious enough. All-in-all, a great flick; better than most.

Some of the dialogue was just really bad. It seemed out of place, specifically in the white Russian scene. Some of Evie's dialogue was weird too, as though it had been written while thinking of a teenager. The performances were overall pretty good. The two teens were surprisingly very good. I never thought I'd dislike Mrs. Matthew's though, biggest surprise of the film.

Dirty Thirty... This title should have been researched better... The Dirty Thirty we're a group of corrupt police officers from the 3-0 Precinct in New York City that were under criminal investigation by internal affairs... They were found guilty and served time. True story... look it up
