I'd say to full appreciate this move you need to be somewhat familiar with The Room and some of the many reviews of it online. Otherwise a lot of the inside jokes and humor will be missed. The first part of this movie is a bit dry but starts to pickup about 1/3 of the way in. James Franco does an amazing job portraying Tommy Wiseau and they stay true to a lot of the source material doing a fantastic job of recreating some of the most iconic scenes from The Room. If you're not really familiar with The Room you're not missing too much by taking a pass on this movie. Though, if you've ever had an interest in discovering a bit more about The Room without having to watch it in its entirety this is the place to start.

Leave it to Franco and the boys to drop a "delicious, earnest and one of a kind rosey smelling deuce" on a glass table for everyone to feast! It's these type of unique films that truly pass on the message in the best of ways with maximum dose! Thank you Franco for one of the most enlightening films to date. I bet you Hollywood is grinding their teeth for the cult dollars they missed on this one!

I had been waiting for this film all 2017. I missed it in theaters and bought it right away. It's such a great character study. The Disaster Artist is hilarious, weird and interesting. I need to know how old Tommy Wiseau is, where he was born and how he got all that money!
