About this movie

Academy Award ®Winner Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor, Christoph Waltz. Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx (RAY, LAW ABIDING CITIZEN) as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Golden Globe®-winner Christoph Waltz of INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django, promising to free him upon the capture of the Brittles - dead or alive. Also starring Leonardo Dicaprio (INCEPTION, THE DEPARTED), Kerry Washington (MR. & MRS. SMITH, RAY), and Samuel L. Jackson (PULP FICTION, STAR WARS FRANCHISE).

Man I tell you it is not easy to defeat racism when ITS ALWAYS IN YOUR FACE. I thought maybe this movie would be a great Tarantino, film but no it turned into another Foxx, racism lets keep it alive movie. I can't in good conscience support this movie. Especially now that Foxx, has gone on to make White House Down and also his Trayvon, stance. Really come on why not stop bringing up the past and help the Future. Revenge is all I took from this movie and I wish now that I had not purchased it.

I felt that the character development was good for Django (Jamie Fox) and Dr. Schultz (Christoph Waltz), however, both Leonardo DiCaprio''s Candie and Samuel L. Jackson's Stephen were overdone caricatures (and sadly, Jackson's over- and poorly done makeup was reminiscent of Planet of The Apes). The story line was actually quite good, believable, while at times humorous and satirical. The spoiler for me was the hugely overdone shoot-em-up scenes. They must have gone through several 55 gallon drums of fake blood making this movie. Wholly unnecessary spurting of blood and body parts, and screaming, writhing victims. Luckily I watched this at home and could walk away until these ridiculous scenes played out. Really, what is the point of this? - I see it in way too many recent movies. It is no wonder people go around massacring innocent bystanders after watching stuff like this. At least it did not totally eclipse what I liked about the movie.

Yet another KICK ASS movie by one & only Quinton Tarantino Leonardo DiCaprio AND Christoph Waltz truly blew even Jamie fox out of the water in this one! They were Both absolutely fantastic! Jamie Fox did an amazingly great job, dont get me wrong... he was splendid in title role, however, those other two just made the movie! Without them it probably would have been his first real dud of a movie. But it turned out fantastic..... NOW... ONE THING... COULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT QUINTON HIMSELF THO LOL
