關於這部電影

《安眠醫生》是暨史提芬京的小說《閃靈》中丹尼托倫斯的故事出版四十年之後的續集。丹尼托倫斯童年時在全景飯店中遭遇到至今仍無法治癒的創傷，他一直都在努力尋找平靜的方法。但是當他遇到了一個也擁有「閃靈」超能力的勇敢少女艾柏拉後，原有的平靜就瞬間破碎了。艾柏拉在發現丹尼也有同樣的能力後便試圖找到他，藉助他的力量對抗無情的高帽蘿絲和其追隨者：真結族；真結族會吞食擁有閃靈能力的無辜之人以尋求永生。丹尼和艾柏拉史無前例的合作與蘿絲進行一場生死之戰。艾柏拉的單純與無懼閃靈能力的勇氣使丹尼破例召喚自己的力量，直視他內心的恐懼，喚醒過去的鬼魂。

評分和評論

I wish I would have seen this in theaters. Mike Flanagan has really hit his stride with this one, admittedly I didn't expect much going in but this movie really just worked for me. It worked perfectly as an expansion to The Shining, even if you're not too familiar with Stephen King's universe. Some of the kills in the movie may disturb some though, so be aware. This is not your average jump scare fest, this movie sets a mood. Watch the extended cut if you can.

This isn't "The Shining" and you shouldn't expect it to be. It provides a good closing ark for Danny Torrence and continues the universe in a good, thrilling way. However, that tense and raw fear experienced throughout "The Shining" isn't prevalent in Doctor Sleep. Those wanting to see how the story of Danny Torrence is complete, while learning a few more things about Jack Torrence & his wife, you should watch this film. Overall though it's a good film & worth the watching.

I don't think anyone could've done such a brilliant job on a sequel as this director has done.... especially on such a classic by one of the greatest authors of all time Steven King
