DOCTOR SLEEP DIRECTOR'S CUT, con scene nuove e alternative/estese non presenti al cinema. “Doctor Sleep” è il prosieguo della storia di Danny Torrance 40 anni dopo i terrificanti eventi di Shining di Stephen King. Ancora segnato dal trauma vissuto da bambino all’Overlook, Dan Torrance ha combattuto per trovare la sua pace. Ma quella pace viene distrutta quando incontra Andrea, una coraggiosa teenager con un dono potente, chiamato “luccicanza”. Avendo riconosciuto istintivamente che Dan condivide il suo potere, Andrea l’ha cercato per chiedere il suo aiuto contro la spietata Rose Cilindro ed i suoi seguaci, il Vero Nodo. Formando un’alleanza improbabile, Dan e Andrea si lanciano in un brutale scontro mortale con Rose. L’innocenza di Andrea e il modo in cui accetta senza paura la sua luccicanza spingono Dan a usare i suoi poteri come mai prima, facendo risvegliare le sue paure ed obbligandolo ad affrontare i fantasmi del passato.

Valutazioni e recensioni

Somehow, demon spiritualists sucking the life force out of individuals who 'shine' and recreating scenes from 'The Shining' fails to deliver. At least, in 'The Shining', we feel for the family, being isolated in a hotel, built on top of an Indian burial ground, giving the film, it's chilly psychological horror and suspense. Watch the uncut version of 'The Shining' in order to better understand Danny's condition before watching 'Doctor Sleep'. This film will gaurantee you zzzzzz for 3hrs at least

Very good. Would have been nice to have a bit of cgi Jack as apposed to a look alike, some thing subtle not like Carrie Fisher in starwars just a glimps... For continuity.

I came into this film expecting a fun ride, some good effects and decent performances. I left bowled over by its pacing, performances and writing. The three hours flew by and the writing tied into the Shining to make the plot organically call back to it instead of just shameless nostalgia which I was scared it might be.
