"What is it about dogs that brings us so much joy?" Lives are about to change forever, when human and canine paths intertwine in sunny Los Angeles. There's Elizabeth, a news anchor in her 30's, who not only having to deal with a bad breakup, is struggling to cheer up her depressed dog Sam. Stuck in a not-so-temporary coffee shop job, life for college graduate, Tara, takes a surprising turn when she rescues an adorable Chuiwauwa from life on the street. Carefree bass guitarist, Dax, finds himself lumbered with his sister's very large and very mischievous dog when his sister goes into labour with twins. And when a lost Pug finds friendship with newly adopted, 5-year old Amelia, one family's life changes in ways they never thought possible.
