Superb movie but do NOT buy from here as it is defective. Framerate is jerky for some reason, and 1hr 6mins into the movie the picture freezes and there is a loud hiss for 4 seconds before it carries on. I have asked for a refund

As horrifically, saddeningly meaningless as drowning a bag of your dead sister's puppies in a tub of drain cleaner, Donnie Darko makes me want to sit in the corner and mope to a level goths would find self-indulgent. Despite making that interminable Mad World song a Christmas number 1 in the UK it remains one of the defining movies of the early '00s.

I'm not going to buy it as I've seen it countless times, but to whoever hasn't - this is one of the best ways to spend your money, you will not regret it.
