Mumbai-based wealthy widower Vikram Chopra (Pran) is shocked to get the news that his only son, Gaurav (Gaurav Ghai), has met with a sudden death. Police conclude that his death was a homicide, and assign Inspector Om (Om Puri) to investigate this incident. Om (Om Puri) will soon find out that nearly everyone in the Chopra family, including Vikram's (Pran) adopted son, Vishant (Puru Rajkumar) and his wife Priyanka (Rupali Ganguly); as well close family friends such as J.K. Mathur (Govind Namdeo) and Vijay Mehta (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), had a motive. He will also encounter deception, greed, lies, and treachery, as the killer(s) continue to elude him.
