He calls her "baby" over 25 times! Good plot but the rapid fire "witty banter" gets tiresome after 20 minutes. This could have been written a little better and been a 5 star.

This is what movies should be like today. The plot is excelent, the characters are believable and the cinematography is sharp. The writing in this movie is fantastic. It does not come off as cheesey but as authentic. If you are renting any other movie than this on google play, you will be disappointed. I really want to know if they still make those matches that Neff uses. Those are bad ass. Overall, this is not only a great noir, but it is a great movie period. You will not expect what happens or how. Watch this movie to find out why Neff is bleeding out in his office.

This movie gets better every time I watch it. A great film with a classic story line about lust, desire and the wage of sin. One of the finest films in American cinema. My favorite line: "They say all native Californians come from Iowa."
